About the Cottage
Surrounded by the charming shops, local restaurants and historic properties of Main Street Chappell Hill is the Cottage Blue On Main. The newly designed 1854 Cottage Blue offers a retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life while setting you amidst the happenings on Main Street.
The cottage proudly displays an 'Official Texas Historical Medallion' and is entered in the 'National Register of Historic Places' as the original rooms of the cottage were built in 1854. The doors of this 1,400 sq. ft. cottage were first opened to the public by True Blue Home in 2015 as a designer's show cottage. During this time, the home was blessed with the decorative talents of Holly Mathis Interiors, a local interior designer. Over the last year, a mother-daughter collaboration has acquired the property with a dream to create a charming bed and breakfast type setting for guests to enjoy. Christine Griffin and Karen Sieczkowski, along with their families, have worked to make this house a home and for the first time in its long history, this 1854 cottage is now available for rent. The special little town of Chappell Hill, Texas has captured the hearts of this family and they invite you too to visit a place with which you can't help but be charmed.
